After some thoughts about the services that I offer
it seems strange that a LARGE part of such
"services" can be categorized as free or at
least very underpriced.
With that in mind I am most likely a very bad
"businessman" but on the other hand do it also
underline the whole reason for this website and that is
to help and support people and small business owners.
(And hopefuly make some money for breakfast along the
way)
Web Hosting Service
This is perhaps the only reasonable priced service
that I offer and also my main source of income.
Reasonable priced have however different meanings
because the service is reasonable priced according
strong global competition but POORLY priced if you
compare it with some South African companies.
On second thought I still don't think it's reasonable
and the HUGE difference is rather that some South
African companies simple ABUSE and legally ROBBING their
customers because South Africans in general don't have
much backbone to fight for their rights.
Telkom offer for example international domain
registration at R1014 while I offer it for R115 with a
good percentage profit because the ACTUAL cost is about
R60 depending on the exchange rate.
May I suggest that you do your bit to promote
"affirmative action" by refering a few friends
to businesses that actually care with reasonable prices
to save them from such daylight robbery? Website
Shop
The website shop was established with the primary aim
to help people and businesses to get a website at very
low cost to limit the effect of expensive website design
and development cost on the web hosting.
The web hosting industry is very competitive and with
the HUGE downside that it rely on website designers and
such people to provide websites for clients so that it
can be hosted somewhere.
When I saw that one company offer a website with
eCommerce at R12 000 while it's possibe to ge the VERY
SAME at around R900 or even for free I decided that it's
crazy and started to develop the website shop.
Fact of the matter is that there is thousands and
thousands different websites, templates and programs
available at very low cost and even for free while many
of that are even FAR better than the expensive
commercial stuff.
Internet Marketing
Despite the huge benefits that a low priced
alternative marketing group offer to small business
owners I still struggle to get the ball rolling after
several years mostly because of my inabilty to explain
the rather different concept properly.
I am however now busy to redesign above as well as
other websites and got somebody that will take care of
this from a communication and implementation
perspective.
While above is just ONE website fact of the matter is
that I easily spend 80% of my time, money and effort
during the past few years to build a HUGE internet
marketing group and being regarded as a NON-PROFIT part
of my business it sounds somewhat crazy that I don't
make one cent from 80% of my time and services.
The truth is however that it makes a HELL LOT of
sense if you understood the different concepts properly
and that is the biggest hurdle for me to get the ball
rolling.
Once you and other people like you starts to
understand and realize the massive potential and
benefits of such internet marketing group that focus on
MARKETING and not money, it can have a huge impact on
your business and marketing budget. |
